We care about how we run our business, the impact we have on the people that work for and with us, but also the difference we can make in our community.
We employ ethical labour practices, actively seek ways to reduce our carbon footprint and look for opportunities to give back through our charity partners.
We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Our company’s social responsibility is comprised of two parts: compliance and proactiveness.
Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values.
Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.
Digital Future First is a service providing small business support, part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), and enables them to grow and improve the skill levels of their employees.
Digital Future First (DFF) aims to help the region bounce back following the fallout from COVID-19.
Our latest blog shares how DFF can help by providing SME businesses with information and access to a range of ESF funded and part-funded programmes, enabling local businesses to develop and grow, whilst also improving the resilience and skills levels of their employees.
We recognise the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all.
We always follow best practice when disposing of rubbish and using chemical substances. We recycle our waste wherever possible, car share and have invested in remote working and video conferencing capabilities to reduce our carbon footprint.
We will ensure that we don’t risk the health and safety of our employees and the community; we will avoid harming the lives of local people and support diversity and inclusion.
We are dedicated to protecting human rights. As a committed equal opportunity employer, we abide by all fair labour practices.
We ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country (e.g. forced labour).
Our company makes monetary donations to charities and good causes.
These donations aim to advance the arts, education & community events, and alleviate those in need.
We support a number of community investment and educational programs in and around Northamptonshire.
We provide support to non-profit organisations or movements to promote cultural and economic development of the local communities.
Our current partnerships include:

We recognise of the global issue of electronic waste. That’s why we’ve taken steps to actively dispose of all end of life IT equipment safely and ethically, both internally and as a service to our customers.
Partnering with Pure Planet Recycling: www.pureplanetrecycling.co.uk, we ensure the disposal of redundant hardware is a secure, safe and eco-friendly. Pure Planet Recycling’s advanced technology breaks down the waste equipment into small fragments and creates a range of reusable materials, such as copper, aluminium and various plastics that are widely recycled. Their plant is 100% powered by renewable green energy and 96% of IT equipment is recycled back into our industry.
In times of economic uncertainty, we’ve extended our corporate social responsibility efforts further to support our customers wherever possible.
We understand the challenges faced by business in these uncertain times. We care about helping, and offering support, where we can. By offering early termination of unwanted services due to furlough and redundancies, at no extra cost; up to 50% discounts on online rentals; and free remote working apps, including set up and training - we're committed to offering support in as many ways as possible.

'Pink Wednesday' has been around a little while at dbfb, but with a growing team all fully behind the idea, we wanted to make 'Pink Wednesdays' not only a bit of fun for the team each week, but a way for us to make a difference.
The brain child of one of our 'Delighters', Shannon Parris, Pink Wednesdays is now our official internal company fundraiser! Ensuring the idea stays true to its roots, this team inspired initiative provided each team with charity nomination - resulting in 12 different charities now being supported by the dbfb team.
By making donations (monthly or weekly), plus wearing pink (we're not fussy - clothes, hair or nails, as long as its pink, it goes!) we're aiming to raise up to £500 each month for these fantastic charities, as we know any support is vital in the challenging times.
We're also keen to share the love and get customers and partners involved. So follow us on social to find out how you can get involved #PinkWednesday/ Read more
We believe in supporting local communities, which is why we have sponsored Pro-Active Learning Solutions which teach current topics that are not covered under general curricular in schools.
dbfb have sponsored Pro-Active Learning Solutions media packs for schools. Pro-Active Learning Solutions provide education media packs which cover a range of issues that do not fall under general curricular in schools. They address issues which range from online safety for children, to green cross code.
This helps communities to teach both children and adults about relevant and current topics which may bring danger to children and how to combat issues.
Since partnering with dbfb, we have found their support for all our IT and phone systems to be exceptional and reliable! We have no hesitation in recommending them to any business looking for a good reliable support partner.
