As an O2 network user, we’ve made travelling abroad simpler for you.
We’ve organised the world into 4 easy-to-understand zones, so you can quickly check which zone you’re in and the charges that apply. Knowing your destination’s zone is important, as your daily usage allowance depends on it.
When you arrive in a country outside the UK, we’ll send you a text with details about the zone you’re in.
Below, you’ll find helpful information about the 4 zones, including the charges and the countries in each one.

In Europe, we still offer "Roam Like You’re at Home."
This means you can use your device as usual and be charged the same as if you were in the UK. All your monthly allowances and inclusive packages still apply.

For popular destinations outside of Europe, we offer a roaming plan at a fixed daily rate of £7.50 when you connect to a mobile network. This includes 500 standard minutes, 500 text messages, and 1GB of data.
Usage follows a fair usage policy, so if you exceed these allowances, an additional £7.50 charge will apply. Charges and usage are calculated over a 24-hour period based on GMT. If your usage continues into the next day, a new £7.50 charge will be applied, and your usage limits will reset.
To avoid charges, make sure to switch off mobile data on your device and connect to local Wi-Fi whenever you use your phone.
