Our customer

Able Print, a branch of Able Labels, are a high quality printing business operating in the lines of Northamptonshire area. Having worked with us as our print partner, Able Print approached us to see if we could consolidate all of their connectivity, mobility and telephony solutions.  dbfb provided Able Print with the solutions to these problems by being able to meet all their communication needs on one simple contract.

Background

With an illustrious history dating back over 6 decades, Able Print offers specialist business and commercial printing services. Covering everything from office stationery to a complete design rebrand, the company were looking to new technologies to help future-proof their business.

Having worked with us as our print partner, Able Print approached us to see if we could consolidate all of their connectivity, mobility and telephony solutions, as well as their IT support to streamline their utilities.

Challenge

Managing different service and network providers within the business, was leading to overspending, confusion and frustration. Able Print had previously been quoted around £3,000 installation fees for a new cloud telephony system with their incumbent provider and faced delays when IT issues arose, as their business wasn’t prioritised by the support team.

With the looming ISDN and PSTN switch off, Able Print still had traditional phone lines in place. This was causing limitations on their customer service due to the geographically fixed phone lines, reducing the flexibility the business needed for simple tasks such as transferring calls to mobile devices. This, coupled with the need for a new broadband connection; one with higher upload and download speeds; was a necessity for the growing business to move forward.

Solution

dbfb provided Able Print with the solutions to these problems by being able to meet all their communication needs on one simple contract. By switching their connectivity provider, which provides an FTTP connection (fibre to the premise), resulted in an enhanced connectivity speed; allowing Able Print to make a seamless move to a cloud telephony solution ahead of the 2025 ISDN switch off; thus future-proofing their business communication strategy.

We proposed a Horizon telephony solution, which supplied handsets to all employees at Able Print, sand saved money on upfront costs and installation fees. The telephony upgrade has meant that Able Print can easily redirect calls for employees whilst out of the office, as well as update pre-recorded messages at no extra cost, ensuring customers are informed of important messages quickly and easily.

In addition, the ability to manage their phone system remotely, via the Horizon app, means the team can work from wherever they need to without compromising on customer service.

Switching to an FTTP connection has also allowed for a move to cloud telephony. This has resulted in employee’s being able to redirect calls regardless of location, thus improving customer service via the flexibility that VoIP technologies such as Horizon offer. The switch has helped Able Print to become technologically ready for future expansion of the business.
